IN THE SPOTLIGHT 

Rev. David S. Hixson and his wife Rae Ann, and their three children, Rebecca 9, Emily 7, and Joshua 7 months, are excited about serving you and the Lord. Rae Ann and Dave have been married 11 years. Pastor Dave is an Ordained Minister with The Evangelical Church.  He was born and raised in Westmoreland County and graduated from Southmoreland High School in 1982. Dave was spiritually born again in 1997 and answered God’s call to the ministry in 1999. Because of his age and family situation he was permitted to pursue ordination by completing the 4-year Eastern Conference Course of Study instead of going away to seminary school.

Rae Ann was born and raised in Fayette County and graduated from Connellsville Area High School in 1988.  She gave her life to the Lord as a young girl while attending the Mt. Olive Evangelical Church near her home. We moved to 215 N 4th St, [Rt. 119 S], Youngwood in June of 2003 to begin the planting of the New Beginning Evangelical Church. 

Pastor Dave and Rae Ann offer a full range of pastoral care. Rae Ann is a stay at home mother, while Pastor Dave is bi-vocational. Pastor Dave would love to buy you a cup of coffee and share the vision he has for the New Beginning Church. The Hixson family desires to meet all your pastoral needs.
